Caretreat EB

Caretreat EB (Emulsion Breaker) is a newly developed water in oil emulsion breaker. The product is used to optimize the fuel separation system on board ships.

• Rapidly splits water in oil emulsions by breaking the surface tension between the water & oil phase
• Prevents sludge in bunker tanks

Caretreat EB is used to treat stored fuel in the bunker tanks, to quickly remove water from the fuel. Even when the water is removed the product remains active. Caretreat EB prevents new sludge formation in the fuel due to its homogenizing agents. The heavy fuel particles remain in suspension. This all results in less frequent fuel filter clogging, cleaner fuel lines, cleaner bunker tanks, less maintenance time consumed.

Dosage point is into the storage tank (best on bunker manifold). It is best to be dosed before or during bunkering to mix the product well into the fuel. Dosing rates depend on the amount of water in oil. This can be tested with the Marine Care Water in Oil Test Kit. Before dosing measure the amount of water in oil and dose Caretreat EB as below stated.
