We believe that sustainability is about more than just the environment, it's about taking responsibility for people, community and the future. That's why we continuously work towards finding smarter and more conscious ways to drive the company forward. Our goal is to make sustainability a natural part of our day-to-day business, from small, everyday choices to bigger and more strategic decisions.

A fundamental duty of care for the global environment is one of our core visions. With significant resources and investment in our processes, our focus is to vastly improve on our sustainable operation and to be a frontier in our industry. We are committed in taking climate actions to reduce global warming and our carbon footprint.

Going greener

Some of the actions we have taken is to install solar panels on the roof of our Rotterdam Headquarters. In our Rotterdam office, 100% of electricity is renewable, supporting operations and electric vehicle charging. Solar panels installed on-site generate 38,140 kWh annually.

Safe and efficient urea supply

In 2025, we proudly introduced our UREAXpress in partnership with Yara in the Port of Rotterdam. Urea-Xpress is a custom built 600 m³ barge, introduced as a solution for the delivery of NOxCare to vessels. It eliminates the need for additional transport, storage and handling, while reducing the use of plastic and CO₂ emissions. Urea-Xpress is a project built on the success of the Tier III in the port of Houston, TX.

Being hands on for a better world

In Singapore, we collaborated with ‘Food from the Heart’ through a significant donation and active participation to pack food for families facing hardship. “Food from the Heart” is a non-profit organization with a noble mission to combat hunger among families living below the poverty line, ensuring they have access to essential nourishment. It is a great pleasure to attend this charity event each year.

Good governance is the foundation that makes our sustainability work credible. At Marine Care, we operate with clear lines of accountability, transparent reporting and a strong commitment to ethical business conduct across all our offices and markets. We hold ourselves to the same standards we expect from our partners, and our annual ESG report documents how we are performing against those commitments.
