Careclean Potassium Hydroxide (KOH)

Careclean Potassium Hydroxide is concentrated Potassium Hydroxide in solid form. It can be used to boost cleaning solutions, or used as a stand alone cleaning solution.

Careclean Potassium Hydroxide can be used in recirculation or direct injection applications. After discharging, prewash the tanks with seawater, preferably at a temperature of 60˚C.

Prepare a cleaning solution inside the tank which has to be cleaned. Depending on contamination, add 1% Careclean Potassium Hyroxide as a booster. The solution can be used in a range of 10 - 80˚C. Start circulation.

Continue circulation for about 2‑4 hours. The product has very limited foaming properties. Flush tank with water and drain the tank.

• Major coating manufacturers. Deviations in temperature, exposure time and concentration to the above stated can vary per coating type, consult the coating manufacturers user guidelines.
• For use on Marine Line coatings, max. 1% dilution at 60 degrees C for 2-4 hours as a standalone cleaner
