Careclean Degreaser HD

Careclean Degreaser HD is a liquid cleaner containing aromatic solvents, anionic and non-ionic surfactants and complexing agents with good foaming qualities. Careclean Degreaser HD can be used to clean heavy oil, crude oil, bitumen, paraffin and other stains, having a high melting point.

Heavily contaminated steam boilers and steam boilers suffering from scaling where heavy oil contamination is included. In case a steam boiler is internally fouled with hardness scale and heavy oil, only an acid cleaning will not be sufficient. Careclean Degreaser HD is used first to remove oil and grease before the acid cleaner is applied.

Careclean Degreaser HD can be used to clean heavy oil, crude oil, bitumen, paraffin and other stains having a high melting point in which cases a high cleaning temperature is required.

Fill the system with a 5 % solution of Careclean Degreaser HD in freshwater. Allow this solution to circulate for 12 ‑ 24 hours at a maximum temperature of 90 ˚C. After this operation, drain the cleaning solution and rinse the system intensively with freshwater.

Prewash
Before cleaning with Careclean Degreaser HD, it is recommended to prewash with hot water at approximately 50 ˚C. For drying and semi‑drying oils a pre-wash with cold water should be applied.

Recirculation method
Recirculation is highly effective and widely used. In this method a chemical solution is pumped via a closed loop through a mechanical tank washing machine. The chemical solution is normally prepared in the tank to be cleaned or in the slop tank. Heat is achieved by the use of a heat exchanger, steam coils or live steam injection. The advantages of this method are the recovery of the heat and chemicals to clean additional tanks. Careclean Degreaser HD is circulated as a 2 - 6 % solution at 50 - 90 °C for a period of 2 - 6 hours. After circulation rinse thoroughly with water. Depending on the degree of contamination one solution can be used to wash 1 - 3 tanks.
