Caretreat PL

Caretreat PL is a liquid consisting out of phthalates developed to work as an inert medium in cofferdams connected to deepwell pumps.

When carrying water sensitive cargoes, the cofferdam can be filled with Caretreat PL to prevent reaction/polymerization of the cargo via the pump oil/mechanical seals.

Only applicable in cofferdams or other closed compartments that can cause a water contamination risk.

Caretreat PL should be introduced into the dry Nitrogen purged cofferdam undiluted prior to loading the water sensitive cargo and remain in the cofferdam until tank cleaning after discharge operation is well underway.

It can be removed from the cofferdam by purging with nitrogen and flushing with fresh water. The product can be reused if stored free from water and in closed packaging.
