Caretech D.I. Water Units

Caretech D.I. water units enable you to easily produce ultrapure water from fresh or evaporator water at any time.

The Caretech D.I. water units are available in 3 sizes:

• Caretech MC-40 - up to 750m³ capacity
• Caretech MC–75 - up to 1400m³ capacity
• Caretech MC-103 - up to 1918m³ capacity

Als units are available as single version or twin set for mobile use. If required, Marine Care can also assemble the filters in a (fully automated) skid that can be fixed on board.

Single use: Incoming water only passes 1 filter. Once this filter is up for replacement, the second filter is taken in use. This is advised for combination with treatment of evaporator water, which already has a low conductivity.

Twin set, connected in series: Incoming water first passes 1 filter, then passes on to the second one for double polishing. This is advised when incoming water quality has a high conductivity (500 – 750μS/cm) or if DI water needs to be extremely pure (< 0,5ppm chloride). Please note that the total capacity is about 10% below the theoretical capacity of 2 individual filters. Once the first filter is up for replacement, the second filter can be used as first filter in the new setup.

The maximum recommended working pressure is 8 bar (120 psi). This filter is designed for a maximum working pressure of 10 bar (150 psi). The system has to be frost protected. Temperature range 1 °C – 50 °C. Spare resin can be stored between minus 10 °C – 60 °C.

The mixed bed resin is a polishing resin, to produce ultra pure water from evaporator water as supply. Check the output water quality frequently with the supplied conductivity meter!

The maximum allowable conductivity is 750 μS/cm. The pureness of the produced water depends on the supplied water quality and the flow velocity through the filter. Install a pressure relief valve in your system if there is no effective control of maximum line pressure.
