Caretreat Chlorine Tablets

Caretreat Chlorine Tablets are trichloroisocyanuric acid based. The 3" 200 grams tablets contain 90 % of free chlorine, the highest amount possible. Cyanuric acid shields the water from chlorine degradation caused by, for example, ultraviolet rays. Caretreat Chlorine tablets are used for sanitation of swimming pools, sewage and waste water and can even be used to sanitize freshwater tanks.

• stable on a long term basis
• as it is in a tablet form, it is suitable for semiautomatic dispensing using an erosion feeder or chlorinator
• slow and equal chlorine release

Caretreat Chlorine tablets can be used for sanitation of:

• Swimming pools, hot tubs
• sewage and waste water
• fresh water tanks

When kept in cool dry conditions in a closed container the product can be stored for at least 2 years.

For small swimming pools and hot tubs a simple floating dispenser can be used, for larger pools a semiautomatic dispenser or chlorinator is used.

Sewage and waste water should be sanitized before pumping overboard.

Drinking water tanks can be sanitized by using the Caretreat Chlorine Tablets directly in the to be treated tanks.

Swimming pools:
Free Chlorine level 2 - 5 mg/l (ppm) and 20 - 50 mg/l ppm cyanuric acid.
Dosage 1 tablet per 25 m³ of pool contents

Symptoms of overstabilization of swimming pools:

• Cloudy water
• High chlorine reading with algae
• Adding chlorine does not remove algae

Sewage and waste water:
Free Chlorine level 2 - 5 mg/l (ppm)
Dosage 1 tablet per 10 m³ of tank contents

Freshwater tanks:
Free Chlorine level 2 - 5 mg/l (ppm)
Dosage 1 tablet per 25 m³ of tank contents

Free chlorine can be tested by the DPD 1 method. Marine Care can supply a Free Chlorine Testkit.
