Caretreat C.I.L.

Caretreat C.I.L. is a silica based product for corrosion reduction in (fresh) water storage and delivery systems associated with firefighting installations. Once dosed in the water, it will form a protective film on steel surfaces. The product does not influence the color and odor of the treated water as long as advised dosing is followed.

Initial dose: 0,08 liter of Caretreat C.I.L. per m³ fresh water to achieve a level of 32 ppm of SiO₂ (silica). After initial dosing, monitor the water quarterly. When the silica level drops below 32 ppm, start dosing 0,01 liter of Caretreat C.I.L. per m³. Depending on the turbidity and total volume of tank, check level after 24 hours to a week and dose again 0,01 liter/m³ in case the 32 ppm was not reached.
