Caretreat Oxygen Control SB

Caretreat Oxygen Control SB is a liquid highly concentrated product based on Sulfite. Caretreat Oxygen Control SB reacts quickly with the Dissolved Oxygen in the boiler feed water, to protect as well the feedwater system as the boiler for corrosion.

Caretreat Oxygen Control SB can be used in any type low and medium pressure boiler system. Caretreat Oxygen Control SB can be used in the following make-up water:

• evaporated water
• reversed osmosis water
• demineralized water
• softened water

Standard water treatment:
Caretreat Oxygen Control SB has to be dosed in to the feedwater line before the suction side of the feedwater pump. We strongly recommend this is done by using a dosing pump. It is also recommended to continually dose to maintain a residual sulfite level of 30 to 50 ppm Sulfite SO₃. Do mind that the Alkalinity level has to accurately controlled, between P-Alk. of 100 - 200 ppm as CaCO₃

The Caretreat Oxygen Control SB consumption is inverted proportional to the feedwater temperature. The feedwater should be as high in temperature as possible. Low temperature feedwater of 50 ˚C contents 5 x more dissolved oxygen as feedwater of 90 ˚C.

Control limits
30 - 50 ppm Sulphite SO₃.
100 - 200 ppm Sulphite SO₃ at cold lay-up

Intial dosage
Caretreat Oxygen Control SB is dosed as initial dosage in cold feed water at a rate of 0,2 liter per ton boiler contents. In hot feedwater an amount of 0,1 liter per ton boiler contents is sufficient.

Daily dosage
Caretreat Oxygen Scavenger is dosed at a feed water temperature of 50 - 60 ˚C at a rate of 0,1 liter per ton feedwater.

Caretreat Oxygen Control SB concentration can be analyzed with the Marine Care Oxygen Control test kit.
