Caretreat 6 PWT

Caretreat 6 PWT utilizes polymer technology in combination with silica to provide a protective film on system surfaces, avoiding corrosion and scale formation.

Caretreat 6 PWT can be used in multi-metal freshwater and potable water systems and in freshwater and potable water tanks.

The product can be injected into the discharge lines of the fresh water generator and/or reverse osmosis plant to avoid the problems of corrosion caused by the acidic distillate from these plants. If these lines are protected, the product is injected directly into the fresh water pumps suction manifold. If a high percentage of shore water is used and the tanks are oxidized, the product must be slug dosed into the tanks prior to taking water.

Caretreat 6 PWT is dosed proportionally to the potable water flow.

Initial dosage:
Inject the product at a rate of 50 ml per m³ water.
Use the same rate (50 ml/m³ water) for slug dosing in tanks.

Continuing dosage:
Within a short period water outlets on the vessel will become clear.
At this time, reduce the dosage to 25 ml per m³ water.

Caretreat 6 PWT can be dosed neat or diluted with freshwater.

Caretreat 6 PWT is normally dosed by a dosing system consisting of a pulse water meter, metering pump, dilution tank and injector.
